The image above is a screenshot of a poem I wrote. The text above the poem reads: This poem expresses how I feel when I am in a writing rut and can be read backwards to express how I normally feel about writing.
When read forward, this poem reads: I am not a writer. I refuse to believe I have what it takes to succeed. When I want to give up, want to give in, I remember there’s no way I can ever be good. I should never say, when I doubt myself, I am wrong. I should give up now and just move on. Quit thinking that I must prevail and I am a writer.
When read backward, this same poem reads: I am a writer. I must prevail and quit thinking that I should give up now and just move on. I am wrong when I doubt myself. I should never say there’s no way I can ever be good. I remember, when I want to give up, want to give in, I have what it takes to succeed. I refuse to believe I am not a writer.
